Traditional pesticides do not work on bed bugs. They have developed a resistance to the most common products that have been on the market for years. Heat treatments also have a chance of not working, and are much more expensive. This is because as the temperature rises the bugs will try to hide in the wall voids and little cracks and crevices, and can avoid getting killed. If this happens they will seem to be gone but will reappear over the next few months, likely after the warranty on the heat treatment has expired.

 

Our team has received bed bug control training from a certified entomologist. In our bed bug treatment program, we begin by physically removing as many of the bugs as possible with a special vacuum designed for pest control that traps the insects inside. We then use new products designed to kill pesticide resistant bed bugs. We do not use one product, but instead have a variety of pesticides that we use to exterminate the infestation. We treat three times in order to make sure we have achieved control. Our goal is to keep families in the Marietta, Ohio area safe from these pests and provide our customers peace of mind.
